Miss Phuket

This picture was taken last januari. A Buddhist monk laughs as Miss Phuket, an old transvestite, walks along the seafront of Patong, which was devastated in last years tsunami. Ninety-nine monks walked along the seafront taking offerings from residents, blessing the dead and wishing the living a good future.
